LeVotre Ezine had a chance to catch up with the beautiful and talented Tiffiney C. aka Tiffiney Cornish. This is what she told us about her modeing career.
LV: What is a typical day like for you outside of Modeling?
TC: I usually have photo shoots everyday. I am a full-time catalog model so I shoot for at least 2 hours a day Monday - Friday. When I am not shooting, I spend a lot of time marketing and networking. I go to a lot of events and release parties. In my downtime I like to read and workout.
LV: When did you realize you wanted to Model?
TC: I actually stumbled into modeling. I was selling cameras and sold one to a friend of mine who was aspiring to be a photographer and he convinced me to be his model for a shoot.
LV: How did you feel when you did your first fashion show or photoshoot?
TC: My first shoot I was comfortable because I was familiar with the person holding the camera. I tilted my head in almost every photo and I wasn’t very expressive. It took a while for me to get into the rhythm that I have now.
LV: Are there any Icons in the Fashion Industry that inspired you?
TC: There are many people that inspired me. I am always drawn to people that are out of the box. Being different is amazing.
LV: Do you have a favorite Designer?
TC: Jean Paul Gaultier
LV: Name some photographers you have enjoyed working with.
TC: Some of the photographers that I very much enjoyed working with are Richard Warren, Barry Druxman, Dima Volkov, Juan Stevens, Molly Van Kelly, Gregory Prescott, and Stephanie Matthews.
LV: What accomplishments are you proud of thus far in your career?
TC: I’ve been published internationally. It’s always amazing to see myself in print. I also have done a few advertisements that were awesome!!!
LV: Is there any advice you can offer young men or women that want to start a modeling career?
TC: Modeling is hard. When someone tells you that you are not good enough, skinny enough, tall enough, etc work hard and prove them wrong. Learn your market and master it.
LV: Do you have any upcoming projects you want to talk about?
TC: I am published in Uncovered Magazine next month, an upcoming issue of Sophisticate’s Black Hair Magazine, and Canadian Hair.
LV: I see that you travel alot for your modeling projects. Name a city or country you would like to visit that you haven't yet.
TC: I have not been to Paris, London, nor Milan. They are all on my list for next year! Hopefully I make it to Tokyo too.
LV: Who is your favorite music artist?
TC: I really enjoy listening to Adele.
LV: What was the last movie you saw and did you enjoy it?
TC: The last movie I saw was the Best Man Holiday. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I was happy that I saw it by myself because it had me in tears.
LV: Where do you see yourself 5 years from now?
TC: In 5 years I will be not only a household name from modeling but I will also be a philanthropist and motivational speaker to young girls.
LV: Name one word that best describes your personality.
TC: Determined
