Tracy Gayle Norman The First Trangender Model

Tracy Gayle Norman was a well know Model in the 70's. She was seen in mutiple issues of Essence and was the face of Clairol's Born Beautiful boxes. When Essence found out Tracy was Transgender the magazine fired her. Tracy moved to Paris and Milan and walked the runway for Balenciaga. She has paved the wave for Laverne Cox who appeared on the cover of Essence last year. Tracey Gaye Norma we salute you.

Covet Fashion announced that Gabrielle Union will be thier newest host for it's fashion app. Users will be able to style Union according to her daily activities. If you don't have the app,  you can downlod it from your carriers app store.

 

France Bans Too-Thin Fashion Models

France recently passed a law titled "skinny model ban".  The law was requested in March and it requires Models that are very thin to present a Doctors note stating that their BMI (Body Mass Index) is over 18. If the law is broken, employer face fines up to 75,000 pounds ($82,000). Also if photos of Models don't include the wording "retouched photograph" or "photographed edited" then the creator faces fines worth 37,500 pounds ($41,000.00)

Who is Bevy Smith?

Bevy Smith is taking the fashion industry by storm. She is Bravo's co-host for the talk show Fashion Queens.  Her sense of fashion has landed her jobs on Sirius XM's Radio channel RadioAndy show "Bevalations". You can also see her on BET's Wendy's Style Squad. Bevy Smith is synonomous with the word fashion.
